2015: India and Indians - Emerging Opportunities

The Unifi Foundation has been involved in the areas of pediatric health, improving the quality of primary education for underprivileged children, as well as promoting contemporary arts and select sports. With this forum, we initiated a new and exciting step towards expanding our role in society. We believe that empowering India’s successful people and knowledgeable minds to explore new, different and diverse ways of engaging with the economy will eventually foster creative solutions for inclusive growth. We hope to be a catalyst for change and progress. Unifi Foundation sincerely believes that true change in society can be inspired through examples set by a few great leaders like Dr. Kalam.

In this endeavour, on Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam's birth anniversary we invited Dr. Y.S. Rajan, recipient of the Padma Shri and Dr. Kalam's close confidant, to speak of the Kalam India missed. Not Kalam the President or the scientist or the teacher, but Kalam the economist and his radical economic views for India's economic development.
