Olympics Tokyo, 2020

Ganapathy and Varun, are sailors from Chennai and have been sailing from the age of 6 and 8 respectively. They grew up racing against each other and in 2011 paired up and started sailing on the 29er class of boat which is the feeder for the current Olympic boat. They have dropped out of school in 2009 and have been sailing full time since then, apart from when they were recovering from injury and had little time off to study. Sailing is not a hobby or a small part of their life. It’s their profession and passion.
